“New Sincerity Works hits you with staggeringly beautiful pieces…” so says WVXU FM Cincinnati. With their latest release, the band has broadened its melodic indie sound. These ten songs tell the stories of hearts, lips, Kentucky on Ohio and the comings and goings of the luster, lore and lure of love and lust.

The pensive and lush third album was recorded in the band’s Fruit Hill studio and will be released September 19, 2017 on Butter Records. Available on digital download, CD, streaming and vinyl formats. It was produced by band leader Mike Tittel, mixed by Mike Landis and mastered by legendary Greg Calbi.

New Sincerity works is comprised of veteran musicians of The Loud Family, The Bears/pyschodots/Adrian Belew, Roger Klug Power Trio, The Great Modern and Kari Klara. Led by veteran drummer/songwriter Mike Tittel, the band is comprised of pals and longtime musicians and Cincinnati musical staples: Roger Klug, Bob Nyswonger, Mike Landis, Greg Tudor and Lauren Bray. The band started in 2013 and creates urgent, honest, heart on your sleeve music. Their music has previously invited comparisons to Alex Chilton, Guided By Voices, Paul Westerberg, Phoenix, and Rogue Wave.  The band has hosted several packed shows in Cincinnati at The Woodward Theater and MOTR Pub. The band is currently gearing up for select shows this fall and winter.

Record Details

The record was produced by Mike Tittel at Fruit Hill and mixed by Mike Landis at Raw Sugar Sound. It was mastered by Greg Calbi at Sterling Sound. Fruit Hill is Tittel's studio in Cincinnati Ohio.

The recording was performance based with minimal editing. No autotune or beat doctoring was involved and a generally lose capture-it-live aesthetic was embraced.

The songs were written in 2015 over Thanksgiving vacation to accompany a book of photographs. In the end the photographs were deemed to personal to release but the songs' universal themes seemed relatable and were edited into this record.

The cover painting is Mata Atlantica #2 by Los Angeles artist, Aaron Morse. Arron is a Los Angeles based artist. His work is in major collections including MOMA. Album Design by Butter.
